FT: Ukrainian troops stick to three-pronged approach in offensive

Ukrainian servicemen are adhering to a three-pronged approach during the counter-offensive. This is stated in an article by The Financial Times.

“The Ukrainian armed forces are demining, shelling logistics and command centres and launching drone strikes on territory deep inside Russia,” the publication writes.

The publication claims that due to the large number of shrapnel and other metal objects, metal detectors are becoming useless at the front. Also the AFU has to search for mines at night.

The author of the publication noted that the AFU spends a lot of time trying to hit logistical centres because they lack dominance in the sky, and with UAV attacks inside Russia, Kiev is trying to “create a sense of symmetry” between the countries.

Earlier Military chronicle told about what the AFU units have achieved throughout the counter-offensive on the front. It is noted that the Ukrainian army in Zaporizhzhya region failed to reach even the first line of the Russian defence.
