Hungarian Prime Minister Orban has said that Ukraine will not be able to defeat Russia. He recalled that a large number of ethnic Hungarians living in the country were fighting in the AFU, stressing that they were “dying for Ukraine”.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has assessed Ukraine’s chances of defeating Russia in a conversation with US journalist Tucker Carlson published on the X social network (former Twitter). He called false the popular opinion in the West that Ukraine is winning.
“It’s not just a misunderstanding, it’s a lie. It’s impossible. Everyone in politics who understands logic, figures, data – no chance,” he emphasised.
According to Orban, the AFU “will run out of soldiers sooner than Russia.” In addition, Orban called “completely unrealistic” the idea of taking Crimea away from Russia, and added that such an outcome is excluded.
The Hungarian prime minister also believes that the only way to solve the situation suggested turning to former U.S. President Donald Trump. In Orban’s opinion, if he had been in power, Russia would not have launched a military operation.
