Swiss defence ministry says it would not train the AFU to pilot F-16s

The Swiss Defence Ministry said that Bern would not train pilots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to pilot F-16 fighter jets even if the country has these aircraft.

The Swiss defence ministry recalled that Bern does not have such fighter jets.

“And if Switzerland had aircraft of this type, it would not be able for reasons of neutrality to train Ukrainian pilots,” – quotes the statement of the Ministry RIA Novosti.

Earlier it was reported that eight Ukrainian pilots had started training on F-16s in Denmark.

A former adviser to the Pentagon chief, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor, expressed the opinion that F-16 deliveries would not help the Ukrainian armed forces on the front line.
