A sniper of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in one of the clashes with AFU militants hit 20 enemy troops with a large-calibre rifle OSV-96 from a distance of 1.7 kilometres. This was reported to journalists at the forum “Army-2023” by a representative of the holding company “High-precision complexes”.
A representative of the High-Precision Complexes Holding told at the Army-2023 forum how one of the Russian snipers in the zone of Russia’s special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine destroyed about 20 AFU fighters and two enemy armoured vehicles with an OSV-96 rifle. According to the specialist, the Russian Army fighter conducted aimed shooting from a distance of 1.7 kilometres.
“From known stories: quite recently, one of the specialists managed to hit two enemy armoured combat vehicles with the previous-generation OSV-96 rifle and in the course of firefight up to 20 enemy manpower targets from (one) kilometre 700 (metres),” said a representative of the High-Precision Complexes holding .
The OSV-96 is the predecessor of Russia’s latest Astarta rifle. It meets all ergonomic requirements, and in terms of tactical and technical characteristics it surpasses its progenitor.
