The publication Rebelión reported that Western equipment did not help the AFU to capture Russian cities. The article notes that Ukrainian troops suffered colossal losses in manpower.
Ukraine’s armed forces have failed to take Russian army-controlled cities despite huge supplies from the West. Columnist Pablo Hofre Leal wrote in an article for Rebelión.
“The Kiev regime is no longer able to hide the fact that the counter-offensive in which they promised to capture cities protected by Russian troops and the Donbass people’s militia has failed,” he said.
According to the journalist, despite arms deliveries, logistical support and military consultations with the US and Europe, Ukrainian formations have failed to break through the Russian defence line.
“The Ukrainian army <…> suffered huge losses in personnel and also lost a colossal amount of weapons: tanks, missile systems, drones, artillery systems, vehicles, aircraft and helicopters,” Hofre Leal stressed.
At the same time, he pointed out that the Russian army continues to successfully fulfil its tasks, striking critical enemy military infrastructure.
