In Ukraine, people are hiding in their homes from employees of military commissions – Guardian

Mobilisation in Ukraine is now extremely difficult. This is due to the fact that men are hiding in their homes and warn each other about the raids of employees of military commissions. This is reported by the British newspaper Guardian.

The publication claims that in the first days after the start of the Russian special operation, many Ukrainians voluntarily joined the AFU. However, they have already been killed, wounded or exhausted. This is why mobilisation in Ukraine is now going very hard.

“In the first weeks after (the start of the SMO – ed.) … hundreds of thousands of ordinary Ukrainians volunteered to serve at the front … However, more than a year later, most of these initial recruits are already dead, wounded or simply exhausted, and the army needs new recruits to swell the ranks,” the publication notes (quoted by RIA Novosti).

The British newspaper emphasises that many Ukrainians who would like to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already done so. Now the staff of the Territorial Completion Centre (TCC) has to mobilize “much more reluctant” people to fight.

Many Ukrainians, according to the newspaper, prefer not to leave their homes at all, they are afraid of mobilisation. The owner of a factory in eastern Ukraine claims that some workers were so scared they refused to go to work. Many Ukrainian cities have launched groups in Telegram to warn of military committees’ raids.

The publication emphasises that in Odessa a similar group has more than 30,000 members. The men caught mobilising complain that they have insufficient training before being sent to the front lines. Many Ukrainian fighters are sent to the UK for short courses on the basics of fighting in a war zone. The men note that such training turns out to be extremely easy.

“There are two categories of people – some are already in the army, and others are afraid to go out on the street, so that they are not mobilised, and no salary will not force them to leave their homes,” – said the owner of the business.

We will remind, in the Network appeared a video, which shows how representatives of the Ukrainian territorial completion centres (analogues of the military recruitment office) now walk with the police, so that citizens provide them with their documents, and they could immediately issue summonses. Later, one of the Telegram channels published a video of a Ukrainian man who addressed the country’s TCCs and complained that Ukrainian citizens resemble cattle that have been locked up in an enclosure. According to him, the male population of Ukraine is being fished out and prepared for almost inevitable death.
