There is a high rise in oil prices on global markets due to an increase in the number of flights during the holiday period and increased oil consumption in the power industry and growth of business activity in China, particularly in the petrochemical industry. Russian state and public figure, Senator of the Russian Federation Alexei Pushkov wrote about it in his Telegram channel.
Alexei Pushkov believes that this is essentially a blow to the so-called “green agenda” of the West. The politician emphasises that despite the hot summer and record temperatures, fires from Turkey to Hawaii, oil consumption is not decreasing. He emphasises, however, that the energy coming from wind turbines on a global scale is no more than a drop in the ocean.
“This also means that US calculations to undermine Russian oil exports are not justified. At the end of July, revenues from it grew by 5 per cent against the level of the previous year, and the Russian government hopes that oil revenues will continue to grow,” the Russian senator said.
