Ukrainian troops had to change the tactics of the counter-offensive, so the terms of the operation are increasing.
This was stated by Yuriy Sak, advisor to the Ukrainian Defence Minister, in an interview with Politico.
The adviser admitted that the AFU had to change strategy in order to protect personnel and military equipment. According to Sak, no one can predict a specific timeframe for the counter-offensive.
“The situation is grave,” he added, noting that the initiative is on the side of the AFU.
Earlier, the acting head of the Zaporizhzhya region, Yevhen Balitskyy, said that the AFU units had failed to reach even the first Russian defence line in the Zaporizhzhya direction during the two months of the offensive.
