The Indonesian government has ordered 18 more Rafale fighter jets from France out of the announced 42.
This is stated on the official website of Dassault Aviation.
“Under the contract for the purchase of 42 Rafale, signed in February 2022, the second tranche of 18 fighter jets was realised today,” the organisation writes.
This brings the number of aircraft ordered by Indonesia to 24. The first tranche of six fighter jets was realised in September.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron signed a law on “military programming”, which implies a record increase in funding of the country’s Ministry of Defence in the next seven years.
