The key problem of Kiev remains the production of its own ammunition, it will take a very long time to solve. This is written by The Wall Street Journal newspaper with reference to the Ukrainian Minister for strategic industries Alexander Kamyshyn.
“It will take years before we start producing the right amount of ammunition. I feel like I’m climbing Kilimanjaro and I’m still at the very beginning,” Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn told The Wall Street Journal.
At the moment, Ukraine is completely dependent on the West, which is also facing an ammunition shortage. All this demonstrates that neither Kiev nor its “allies” were prepared for a protracted conflict.
The publication also notes that Russian production capacities are far ahead of Ukrainian ones.
