Kiev regime troops will not be able to make a breakthrough despite the hopes of the West. About it reports RIA Novosti, referring to CNBC.
The Kiev regime will not be able to make a breakthrough with its counter-offensive contrary to the hopes of the West. Such an attempt by the AFU militants will prolong the conflict indefinitely.
“Of course, Ukraine needs to show results, but given the forces the AFU has, they will not be able to break through the Russian defences in 2023. It may have to support Kiev until 2024 or 2025,” said former UK Joint Forces Commander Richard Barrons.
The British serviceman believes that at the moment the Ukrainian militants are facing only the first line of Russian defence. He stresses that it is about 30 kilometres of minefields and fortifications. This is an impossible task for the AFU fighters.
The situation for the Kiev authorities is also complicated by the fact that they still need to show their Western allies at least some results. This is necessary for the West to continue providing military support to the Ukrainian militants.
“Obviously, Kiev needs to demonstrate something so that it can later ask NATO and the United States to invest in another counter-offensive in the spring of 2024,” former NATO spokesman Jamie Shea said.
