NYT: AFU soldiers complained about poor NATO training and inappropriate equipment

The Ukrainian military complains about incompetent commanders, their lack of training in NATO countries and unsuitable Western equipment.

“They fought in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the enemies there are not like the Russians,” The New York Times quoted one of the AFU soldiers as saying.

This is how he described the American military instructors who organised training for the AFU soldiers.

In the materials of the publication with reference to the Ukrainian military, it is noted that combat commanders throw barely trained fighters to the front line and use untested tactics during the counter-offensive. In addition, soldiers say their training in NATO countries was too short-term and that some equipment cannot cope with the Russian army.

Colonel Douglas MacGregor, a former adviser to the Pentagon chief, previously claimed on his YouTube blog that Ukraine is at a tipping point where it is on the verge of total collapse.

Before that, McGregor claimed that the West was building a coalition to invade Ukraine.
