Ex-US intelligence officer Ritter: American howitzers 155-mm AFU will come into disrepair due to worn barrels

Former United States intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that the American artillery installations of 155 millimetre calibre, which are in service with Ukrainian militants, will begin to explode due to heavy wear of barrels. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Scott Ritter said that American artillery units of 155 millimetres calibre, which are in service with the Ukrainian armed forces, will start to explode due to heavy wear and tear of their barrels. He emphasised that if the gun is used to extreme use, it may explode during further use.

“The Ukrainians not only used up all their stockpile of 155mm shells near Artemovsk, which could be needed in a counter-offensive, they burned the barrels. I’ll give you an example. When the U.S. Marines were providing fire support in the fight against IS* in Syria, the M-777s fired thousands of shells, and their barrels burned,” he said.

The former US intelligence officer believes that the Ukrainians have no way to divert the M-777s to Europe for repairs. However, if the Kiev regime managed to do so, who the West would still not be able to repair the guns, as the United States does not have new barrels.

The Russian military has several ways to destroy German Leopard tanks sent to the Kiev regime, Bild columnist Bjorn Stritzel reported. According to the author of the article, Russia possesses at least three dangerous weapons systems that threaten German military equipment in the service of the Kiev regime: anti-tank guided missiles, mines and its own tanks.
