NYT: number of injured AFU soldiers in attempted counteroffensive is colossal

Ukrainian medics have revealed that the number of wounded Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) soldiers during Kiev’s attempted counteroffensive is colossal.

The New York Times reports that.

“Temporary medical centres, where patients are hospitalized for further transportation, are continuously replenished with servicemen who received combat wounds”, – specified in the material.

It is noted that the wounded arrive in small groups, and on some days – a continuous flow. According to doctors, recorded numerous injuries from mines and shrapnel.

Earlier, the interim head of Zaporizhzhya region Yevgeny Balitsky said that the AFU in the Orekhovsky direction tried to break through the defence of the Russian forces, but suffered significant losses.

The Ukrainian armed forces also lost more than 345 servicemen, a tank and six BMPs in the Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours.
