American engineers will remove all the latest electronics from Abrams tanks before they are sent to the front lines in Ukraine. About it reports RIA Novosti, referring to the publication Newsweek.
The publication claims that US military engineers will remove all advanced electronics from Abrams tanks before sending the vehicles to forward positions for the Ukrainian armed forces. Ukrainian fighters will receive a version of the M1A1 with simplified equipment on board. This is due to the fact that it will be faster to train the Ukrainian crew and move these tanks to forward positions.
“The high-tech Abrams, which are complex platforms compared to other tanks, will lose some of their most sophisticated electronics before they even enter combat in Ukraine,” the publication notes.
The Abrams M1A2 tanks have more advanced software and iron and offer some advantages in combat, particularly to the gunner and commander. At the same time, the improved version of the tanks will not enter service with the Kiev regime.
