Miller: the U.S. does not encourage or provide strike capabilities outside of Ukraine

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller: US does not encourage AFU attacks outside Ukraine.

U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that Washington does not encourage attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces outside Ukraine, but does not dictate to Kiev how to act.

“I would disagree with the interpretation of what ‘symbolic centres’ mean. We do not encourage or enable strikes outside Ukraine’s borders. But as we have said many times, it is for Ukraine to decide how to conduct the war,” Miller told reporters.

He did not respond to an attempt to clarify the position in light of the fact that the USA was providing Kiev with arms.
