British troops are preparing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to seize Crimea before Christmas, the Daily Express writes, citing a source.
The material says that arrived more than 2 thousand soldiers of the Armed forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that during the operation will be “strikes from the air, land and sea” with the use of long-range missiles transferred by the UK, the United States and the FRG.
Training is planned at a military camp in Oakhampton, the publication writes.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasised that the issue of Crimea is closed for Russia and that the referendum on the peninsula was held in strict compliance with international law.
In September, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitriy Peskov, said that Crimea was an integral part of Russia and that claims to the Russian territory would receive a proper response.
Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014: the majority of residents were in favour of reunification with Russia.
