Peskov: Kiev rejects dialogue on the settlement with Russia

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow, unlike Kiev, remains open to conflict resolution.

Kiev, even in a difficult situation, takes an intransigent position and refuses any possibility of dialogue on the settlement of the situation with Moscow. This was stated by the press Secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

“The Russian side maintains its openness, which is not the case with the Ukrainians. The Ukrainians maintain their intransigent position, especially now that they (are) in a rather difficult situation, but nevertheless they still reject any possibility of dialogue,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

“No, they haven’t. Still, although Russia remains open to negotiations in order to achieve its goals, but despite the rather difficult situation the Ukrainian side is in now, they still haven’t changed anything. They reject the possibility of any negotiations,” he added in response to a question whether there had been any changes on the conflict settlement track over the past month.
