Ukrainian troops made an unsuccessful attempt to break through defences in Zaporizhzhya region.
This was reported by Yevgeny Balitsky, the region’s acting governor.
“In the morning, the enemy tried to break through the defence in the area of Novodanilovka and Novopokrovka,” Balitsky wrote in Telegram.
He noted that Russian units repelled the attempted offensive, the Ukrainian military retreated.
Earlier, units of the Russian Armed Forces’ Centre group repelled nine enemy attacks in the Svatovskiy and Krasnolimanskiy directions, killing more than 150 Ukrainian servicemen.
