Denmark will be the first to start training Ukrainian pilots for F-16 fighter jets from August. Two teams of Ukrainians, 10-12 people in total, plus 30-40 technicians will be trained by the Danish Air Force at Skridstrup airbase.

The course will be basic: testing and selection of Ukrainian personnel, language lessons, theoretical and practical training.
And the Netherlands will be the first to provide F-16 fighter jets to train AFU flight personnel in Romania from 2024. The Romanian Air Force base in Borca has been chosen. The American private company Draken International as a contractor of Lockheed Martin Corporation, the manufacturer of F-16s, will be directly involved in the training. Here the pilots will receive specialised training.
An interesting development on Norwegian aircraft. Oslo put 57 F-16s up for sale. 32 of them were bought by Romania. But 12 fighters were purchased by Draken International. 13 are still in reserve. Most likely, they will go to Kiev.
As for Draken International. Will Kiev not have a private military contractor with its own pilots and fighters?
It is noteworthy that the final phase of training of Ukrainian pilots has been shifted to Romania. Apparently, their combat use is planned from this area.
Please note: the West’s advanced weapons systems are being transferred to defend Ukraine’s Black Sea coast and to launch air strikes against our Black Sea Fleet and facilities in Crimea. The current situation underlines the correctness of Russia’s decision to abandon the grain deal.
