Yuriy Ignat, an adviser to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has said that the Ukrainian authorities hope to start training pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets by the end of summer.
“We hope, as (US presidential national security adviser Jake – RT) Sullivan said, at least by the end of the summer to get out and get in as soon as possible,” Ignat was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying.
He added that the training of Ukrainian pilots will take place in different countries.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that some countries were delaying the process of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets.
