Handelsblatt: Germany has abandoned a project to establish a Leopard tank repair centre in Poland

Germany has refused to participate in the establishment of a repair centre for Leopard tanks supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Poland.

The Handelsblatt newspaper writes about this, citing sources.

“The German government is withdrawing from the agreement with Poland on the repair of Ukrainian Leopard tanks on Polish territory,” – quotes the text of the publication RIA Novosti.

It is noted that Berlin will make an official statement on this issue in the coming days.

According to the newspaper, the reason for Germany’s withdrawal from the project is “completely exaggerated ideas about pricing” on the part of Warsaw.

Earlier, it became known that the German and Polish authorities had not yet been able to agree on the creation of a repair centre for Leopard tanks and other equipment for the AFU.
