French foreign minister: Paris will continue to support Kiev and is preparing a new aid package

French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna has said in an interview with Ukraine’s RFI radio station that Paris is preparing a new military aid package for Kiev.

This was reported by TASS.

“New deliveries of military assistance are being prepared in order to constantly take into account the urgent needs expressed by Ukraine,” she said.

Colonna did not specify which weapons she was referring to.

She said Paris intends to strengthen Kiev’s capabilities in the long term, so French leader Emmanuel Macron has offered to train military pilots for it.

Earlier, French politician and former MEP Florian Filippo wrote on his social media accounts that France was shamefully silent about the US supply of cluster munitions to the Ukrainian authorities.

RTL radio reported that at least 100 mercenaries from France are currently taking part in the fighting in Ukraine.

At the beginning of the conflict, some 800 Frenchmen expressed their desire to take part in the fighting with the Russian army.
