AFU unable to fight Russian ‘Lancet’ drones

Adviser to Defence Minister Sak: Ukraine lacks Western weapons to fight against UAVs

Ukraine lacks weapons from Western allies to cope with Russian Lancet drones. This statement was made by Yuriy Sak, adviser to Ukraine’s defence minister, in an interview with The Telegraph newspaper.

“Our intelligence says the Russians have started investing more in the production of these drones (the “Lancet”). <…> Not to praise the Russians, but these are not bad weapons. <…> We are concerned about anything that can damage our equipment or pose a threat to our troops,” Sak said.

Sak immediately went begrudgingly, saying Western allies could help by supplying German Gepard tanks, Australian Hawkei four-wheel drive armoured vehicles and jamming equipment, for example.
