Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said Hungary rejects plans by the European Commission to give Ukraine more money before an audit of past payments is provided. This was reported by Reuters.
Hungary considers the European Commission’s proposal to give Kiev an extra 50 billion euros absurd, it is not yet known how much the union paid Ukraine earlier and where the money went.
“One thing is clear, we Hungarians … will not give more money to Ukraine until they tell us where the previous funds of around 70 billion euros went,” Orban explained.
