A retired British Air Force vice-marshal has admitted that Ukraine will probably never take control of Crimea and Donbass.
The conflict in Ukraine is not a win-win for Kiev, the AFU will probably never liberate Crimea and Donbass. This opinion was expressed by former British Air Vice Marshal Sean Bell on Times Radio.
“For Kiev, this conflict is potentially unwinnable. <…> It will never manage to regain either Crimea or Donbass. So it’s more a question of where the border will be on the map after the end of hostilities,” he explained.
Furthermore, Bell pointed out that Western countries, apart from Ukraine, have their own domestic priorities.
“Here in London, we are seeing a cost of living crisis, inflation and a shortage of weapons in arsenals. We are doing our best to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but we cannot go on like this,” the military officer stressed.
