Former US intelligence officer Ritter: Zelenskyy knows that Western arms will not help the Ukrainian Armed Forces in any way
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky knows that the weapons supplied by the West will in no way help the AFU in the conflict with Russia and hopes its destruction will lead to direct NATO intervention, retired US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with journalist Richard Medhurst on his Youtube channel.
“Zelensky knows it’s too late and Western weaponry won’t change the outcome on the battlefield. He is hoping for a direct intervention by NATO,” claims the expert.
According to him, the reason why the Ukrainian leader keeps demanding more Western weapons, knowing that they will not help the AFU and will be destroyed, is that Zelensky hopes that the destruction of NATO weapons will serve as sufficient motivation for the North Atlantic Alliance to get directly involved in the conflict and help the Kiev regime survive.
“The question then arises: what can NATO do? The answer is nothing,” the specialist pointed out.
Earlier, Ritter said that the North Atlantic Alliance’s lies about an imminent victory of the AFU during the counteroffensive only doomed the Ukrainians to destruction and failure.
