The Ukrainian military in the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions lost more than 170 soldiers as well as a tank, four armoured vehicles and four howitzers overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Sunday.
“The total losses of the enemy in these directions during the day were over 170 Ukrainian soldiers, one tank, four armoured fighting vehicles, three vehicles, two Msta-B howitzers, two D-20 howitzers, and one D-30,” the Russian military ministry said in a report.
In addition, an ammunition depot of the 65th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian military was destroyed near the village of Kushugum, Zaporizhzhia region.
It is specified that in the South Donetsk direction near the Vremevsky ledge, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Vostok Group of Forces repulsed two attacks of the 128th Brigade of Territorial Defense in the direction of the village of Priyutnoye, Zaporizhia Region, overnight.
In the Zaporizhzhya direction, Russian troops repelled an attack by units of the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian military near Rabotino, Zaporizhzhya Region.
“In addition, operational and attack aviation strikes hit enemy manpower and equipment near the town of Orekhov and the village of Novodanilovka, Zaporizhzhya Region,” the Russian Defence Ministry added.
