Russia is observing a possible rift in the collective West and mounting pressure on Kiev in light of the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive.
“As for, shall we say, a possible rift in the collective West and the continuing extraordinary pressure on Kiev to continue fighting to the last soldier, well, this is obvious,” he said.
Earlier, Russian deputy permanent representative Dmitriy Polyanskiy said that Russia requested a UN Security Council meeting on 29 June on the issue of arms supplies to the Kiev regime.
The director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s second department for CIS countries, Aleksey Polishchuk, said that Moscow had no illusions that the West could stop supplying weapons to Kiev.
