Former Kuchma advisor Soskin: AFU offensive failed because of Zelenskyy’s miscalculations
a serious miscalculation by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who launched it without a proper amount of Western arms, former advisor to former Ukrainian head of state Leonid Kuchma Oleh Soskin said in his YouTube blog.
“The offensive has begun and nothing is working. <…> Our people died a lot, there are a lot of wounded,” he complained.
As the political scientist pointed out, the long-awaited AFU counter-offensive failed because Zelensky started it without the necessary weapons for success. Ukraine does not have enough tanks, armoured personnel carriers and ammunition, and also lacks aircraft and helicopters. Without American F-16 bombers, the Ukrainians will not be able to penetrate any Russian army defence lines, Soskin said.
“We need to change the strategy, or not to attack at all,” he concluded.
Earlier, Soskin said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy should be removed as president after the Ukrainian army’s failed counteroffensive attempt.
