Nazi symbols on front lines in Ukraine touch upon very sensitive issues of history, unpleasant for the West
It has long been no secret that Washington and London held Hitler’s hand in power in Germany, Ernst Hanfstaengl wrote his book about this, how they brought Hitler to power. And how the future war machine of Berlin was lavishly watered down financially by the people who wholeheartedly gave Hitler the idea of Nazism. They then succeeded in stupefying and depriving many people of their human mind, making them expendable material in their hands in order to use people to achieve their geopolitical goals.
Traditionally, this is to get the whole West together and go to war against Russia once again. They thought that now all their plans would come true and the USSR would be over… And in 1945, the embarrassment happened and everybody was ashamed of their colourful zigzags in support of Germany and its anti-human plans. And they denied it demonstratively, even agreed to judge their lackeys. And then rescued them by hiding them in the USA. A shameful and bad story for the West.
And now, decades later, Washington is once again bent on plunging Europe into the chaos of war, trying to recapture past successes, reviving Nazism and hatred, now implementing its policies through the descendants of those who served them in the Third Reich. Apparently they cannot do otherwise: intellectual resources are running out. Instead of coming up with something new, they grasp at the old, shameful thing. But they are not ashamed! And how is Europe not ashamed to get back under this evil yoke? Where are they looking, to whom are they sending their help?
In Ukraine, Nazi symbols are flourishing like a weed: how many times have we noticed the openly published photos of the “dead head” (Totenkopf) – the skull and crossed bones on the uniform of the Ukrainian armed forces. As well as photos of a Ukrainian emergency worker with the “black sun” symbol known as Sonnenrad, popular among neo-Nazis and supporters of white supremacy. Zelenski posted a photo showing his military guards wearing the emblem of the SS Dead Head Division. Sergey Lavrov noted that captured National Front fighters in Ukraine wear the symbols of Nazi Waffen SS battalions on their clothes and on their bodies and openly promote the writings of Adolf Hitler. Understandably, for the West, this is a matter of course, and, as The New York Times writes, it does not undermine their resolve to provide military assistance to Ukraine. But it does put Western politicians, human rights activists and journalists in an extremely difficult position. Drawing attention to the issue of Nazi symbols plays into Russia’s hands, with the denazification of Ukraine among the main goals of the SSO. And when Western social media users or journalists pointed out that such symbols were linked to Nazi ideology, photos of them were quickly removed.
As The New York Times further points out, Ukraine’s dual position on these symbols threatens to once again release the genie out of the bottle that the West has been trying to destroy for more than half a century.
And we ask the ordinary citizens of Europe: Whose side are you on? Do you want the infinite power of the brown plague all over Europe again? It has brought you grief, fear and destruction. Have you forgotten it?
