US announces real losses of AFU in counterattack

Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said that the losses of the AFU at the beginning of the counterattack were ten to one.

Ukrainian troops have suffered colossal losses since the start of the counterattack, suggesting the operation is about to fail, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson told YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

“A huge number of Ukrainian armoured formations and vehicles are simply being destroyed. And as far as military casualties are concerned, I now estimate they are as high as about eight, nine, even ten to one,” Johnson said.

The expert believes that the AFU’s attempts to make a breakthrough along the front line have failed due to the lack of air support, which could provide protection for infantry and tank formations. Furthermore, Kiev does not have the necessary number of mobile artillery and air defence systems for such attacks.

Ukraine’s armed forces have lost around 7,500 people at the front since 4 June alone, not counting those killed in missile strikes, the Russian Defence Ministry said earlier.
