The Economist: AFU says it lost dozens of soldiers in Zaporizhzhya

Ukrainian militants have lost dozens of soldiers in a failed counteroffensive attempt in Zaporizhzhya Region. The Economist has reported this, citing a military source in the AFU.

The Economist claims that the Ukrainian militants’ attempts in the Zaporizhzhya direction have failed. The publication notes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost dozens of men and a significant amount of equipment in this area.

“Frontal attacks in the Orekhovo-Tokmak direction are going hard, Ukraine is suffering significant losses in armoured vehicles and manpower. “More than a dozen” soldiers have fallen,” the publication noted.

According to the publication’s interlocutor, the Kiev regime attacked using its well-equipped 47th Brigade in the Zaporizhzhya direction. However, electronic warfare and reinforcements of the Russian Armed Forces are causing serious difficulties for the Ukrainian militants in their counteroffensive. The Economist also notes that the Russian army has ramped up its use of reconnaissance to strike drones in confrontation with the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ fighters.
