Ukrainian Defence Ministry says Ukrainian armed forces attempted offensive in three directions

Defence Ministry: Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted an offensive in Yuzhnodonetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk directions

Ukraine has lost more than 360 more soldiers in its ongoing unsuccessful offensive attempts in the South Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions, the Russian Defence Ministry has said.
On the Donetsk direction, the AFU suffered the highest casualties in manpower.

“Up to 310 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, two armoured combat vehicles, two vehicles, three pick-up trucks, two Msta-B howitzers and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed in the fighting,” the ministry said.

The Russian military also destroyed ammunition depots of the 63rd Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 53rd Mechanized Brigade of the AFU.

Ukrainian troops have lost a significant number of armoured vehicles in the South Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya directions.

Total losses of the enemy in these directions amounted to:
Over 50 Ukrainian troops;
11 tanks, including three Leopard;
17 infantry fighting vehicles;
16 armoured combat vehicles;
four vehicles;
A UK-made Stormer surface-to-air missile system combat vehicle;
an M777 artillery system manufactured in the USA.

In total, Russian aviation, artillery and missile forces hit 91 Ukrainian units in firing positions, manpower and equipment in 109 areas during the day.
