AFU fighters become more likely to be blown up by mines due to lack of training

Ukrainian militants since the start of the offensive in the South Donetsk direction have become several times more likely to be blown up by mines planted by the Russian Armed Forces’ engineering services due to a lack of training, the head of the engineering service of the Russian Armed Forces’ South Group Regiment, call sign “Kirpich”, has said.

“The number [of Russian mine detonations] has increased, we can say, multiplied, because they mobilize a man and send him to the very front line in a week. In such a short period of time it’s very difficult to learn everything about engineering, even the theory of landmines. You have to learn it thoroughly,” the engineering chief said.

The Russian fighter added that anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, guided missiles and stretch bombs are being laid on the front line of the Russian Armed Forces. In their spare time, the soldiers of the engineering company independently study enemy mines – Italian, German and American mines of the NATO model.
