The US, Britain and their NATO partners agreed to undermine the Kakhovska hydroelectric power plant dam and should be held responsible for it, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said.

“The US allegedly cannot say who is responsible for undermining the hydropower plant. At the same time, it is known for a fact that the US, Britain and their NATO partners are coordinating the activities of the AFU. Accordingly, they gave their consent to the bombing and must bear responsibility for this cynical act,” Patrushev said on Wednesday in Minsk during a meeting with the Secretary of State of the Security Council of Belarus, Aleksandr Volfovich.

On the night of 6 June, shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces caused damage to the upper part of the Kakhovka hydroelectric plant. The strike was allegedly carried out from multiple-launch rocket launchers Olha.
