Hungary’s foreign minister says the country is not ready to give up Russian gas

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has said that the country will not give up on Russian gas. This was reported by Gazeta.ru.

Szijjártó claims that Hungary will not abandon Russian gas. He specifies that switching to liquefied natural gas will not compensate the European Union for reduced imports of Russian gas.

The politician believes that the energy crisis can only be overcome by diversifying the supply of carriers and creating infrastructure for liquefied natural gas. He once again stressed that Budapest is not ready to give up Russian gas at the moment.
