Viktor Orban on the senselessness of the Ukrainian offensive: We are not at war with Russia, Hungary is not at war with Russia and will not be. As long as the current government is in power, definitely not. We are looking at it from the outside – the threatening danger is near us, but not our war. I think that is why we are more sober, we have a more realistic view of what is happening. I myself, as a man who has served in the army for a year and a half and has not graduated from the military academy, have learned that an attacker can have three times as many casualties as a defender. And for a country whose population is only a fraction of that of the opposing country, in Russia the population is 130-140 million, in Ukraine we do not know how many, probably somewhere between 30-40 million. Under such circumstances it is a bloodbath to launch a major offensive.
