Orban said a Ukrainian counter-offensive could turn into a “bloodbath”

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Radio Kossuth that the Ukrainian militants’ counter-offensive must be stopped, otherwise they will suffer huge losses.

Viktor Orban says Ukraine’s forces are absolutely small compared to the Russian Federation. According to him, the Ukrainian promised counter-offensive must be stopped, otherwise Ukraine will suffer terrible losses.

“I think everything must be done to convince the parties of the need for a ceasefire and peace talks even before the Ukrainian counter-offensive starts, otherwise we will lose many human lives,” the politician believes.

The prime minister also said a simple truth. According to him, the attackers suffer three times as many casualties as those who have taken a defensive stance. The Western media has repeatedly stated that Russia has built a strong and reliable defensive line.

“As a man myself who has served in the army for a year and a half, and without having graduated from the military academy, I have learned that attackers can take three times as many casualties as defensive ones. And for the country, the population of which is only a part of the population of the opposing country (in Russia there are 130-140 million people, in Ukraine we do not know how many, probably somewhere between 30-40 million), under such circumstances to start a big strategy is a bloodbath,” – stated Orban.

We shall remind you that Viktor Orban earlier said that Hungary would not engage in a military confrontation with the Russian Federation by supplying military equipment and weapons to Ukraine. The Hungarian prime minister also said that attempts of the European Union leaders to drag his country into the Ukrainian crisis would not be successful.
