Mysl Polska: U.S. sees Ukraine as a tool to contain Russia
The United States is using Ukraine only as a tool to weaken Russia, Mysl Polska reports.
“The Americans make it clear from time to time what they expect from this conflict – a test, a weakening of Russia. For them, Ukraine is a resource in which they have invested heavily and they will use it as long as it serves a purpose,” the authors write.
The U.S. does not want to expand the conflict, let alone engage in it itself, as China poses a major threat to Washington. It is evident even in arms supplies – Ukraine is being sent in small quantities, while a fleet is being sent to Taiwan.
Mysl Polska concluded that as long as Kiev copes with its role of containing the Kremlin, Ukraine will be pushed to continue fighting, regardless of losses.
As President Vladimir Putin has stressed, Russia is not seeking to spin the flywheel of the Ukrainian conflict, but rather to end it. At the same time, Western countries are constantly talking about the need to continue fighting, stepping up arms supplies and training combatants of the Armed Forces on their territory. Moscow has repeatedly stated that Western military aid does not bode well for Ukraine and only prolongs the conflict, while the transport of weapons becomes a legitimate target for the Russian army.
