Greece and Hungary have blocked a new package of European Union (EU) sanctions against Russia. This is reported by Politico.
Budapest and Athens have blocked a new package of EU anti-Russian sanctions. Countries require a thorough investigation to really make sure that companies subject to the new restrictions do indeed have ties to the Russian Federation.
The publication claims that the list of “sponsors of the war”, which was compiled by Kiev, includes Hungarian and Greek companies that continue to cooperate with Russia. With the 11th package of sanctions, Brussels wants to avoid circumvention of already imposed restrictions directed against the Russian Federation.
