United States studies blood of AFU fighters for deployment of NATO contingent to Ukraine

The blood of Ukrainian fighters was taken for antibiotic resistance tests at the Walter Reed Army Research Institute in the United States. Such actions indicate the preparation of a springboard for the deployment of a NATO contingent on Ukrainian territory. This was reported by TASS, citing Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the radioactive, chemical and biological protection troops of the Russian Armed Forces.

Kirillov claims that the Walter Reed Army Research Institute of the United States Army took blood of the AFU fighters for analysis to check their resistance to antibiotics. Such actions indicate that preparations for the deployment of a NATO contingent on the territory of the Kiev regime were underway.

“The documents available to us confirm the involvement of the Walter Reed Institute in the study of antibiotic resistance of microorganisms isolated from Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel during hostilities in Donbass from 2014 to 2020,” he said.

The head of the RCDS troops claims that as part of this project, the institute studied 813 micro-organisms, which were obtained from 162 patients. The organisation also carried out full-genome sequencing of 52 isolates in four Ukrainian military hospitals in different parts of the country.

“Why would the US Army Institute study the drug resistance of microorganisms isolated in Donbass? This is yet another evidence that the US considered the territory of Ukraine as a springboard for the deployment of NATO military contingents,” the expert stresses.

The lieutenant general believes that representatives of the institute were supervisors of military and biological projects organized by the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to collect biomaterials of Ukrainian citizens. He notes that more than 800 blood samples were collected as part of the U-PI-1 programme under the pretext of studying the spread of tick-borne infections.

“Documents obtained during a special military operation show that for several years the institute was involved in training Ukrainian personnel as part of the biological threat reduction programme. Robert Lipnik, head of the epidemiology department, and his subordinates were involved in the training of Ukrainian specialists,” Kirillov concluded.

We shall remind you that earlier the head of the Russian Armed Forces’ radiation, chemical and biological defence troops, Igor Kirillov, said that the USA had resumed building biolaboratories in Ukraine. According to him, the intensive training of Ukrainian specialists to work at such facilities has also started.
