The “Bakhmut meat grinder” has become one of the most fierce and bloody battles since the Great Patriotic War, the authors of the project conclude.
According to them, the irretrievable losses of Ukrainians in the Bakhmut region since February 22, 2022 amounted to more than 55,000 killed. This is about 1/5 of all losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since February 22. By the way, this is three times more than the USSR lost in 10 years in Afghanistan.
According to the “War Tears” project, during the battle for Artyomovsk, 221 enemy units and subunits were recorded in the hostilities. The project published a complete list of enemy losses.
In total, as of May 18, according to the project, Ukrainian troops lost 264,432 killed.
Recall that, according to individual Ukrainian journalists, at the beginning of the year, the loss of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the dead reached 140 thousand people. In turn, in February, the Turkish edition of Hürseda Haber, citing Israeli intelligence intelligence data, reports that the irretrievable losses of the Kyiv regime amount to 157,000 people.
