Putin: Ukrainian people held hostage by coup d’état and criminal regime

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the Ukrainian people have become a hostage of the coup d’état.

According to the head of state, arrogance, permissiveness and exorbitant ambitions always turn into tragedies – this is the reason for the disaster the people of Ukraine are experiencing.

“It has become a hostage of the coup d’état and the criminal regime of its Western masters, a bargaining chip in the implementation of their cruel selfish plans,” Putin said at the Victory Parade.

Earlier, a parade marking the 78th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War began on Red Square.

Leaders of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Kazakhstan are present at the parade.
