Japan and France agree to develop a new generation of EOD equipment

Foreign and defence ministers of Japan and France have agreed in a meeting to jointly develop a new generation of EOD equipment, RIA Novosti reported citing Kyodo news agency.

It is noted that the meeting was attended by Defence Ministers of Japan and France Hamada Yasukazu and Sebastian Lecorniu and foreign ministers Yoshimasa Hayashi and Catherine Colonna.

The sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of armaments and promote the joint development of new generation EOD technologies.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov urged Japan to provide Kiev with electronic warfare equipment in an interview with the Kyodo news agency.
