The Telegraph alleges that Russian planning bombs have disrupted the AFU counter-offensive. Now, according to the newspaper, the Kiev regime is forced to revise its military action plans.
The glider bombs are fitted with “wings”, which gives them additional range, and fly low and far enough to evade some air defence systems, the paper said. The British paper argues that the extra range provided by the gliding technology means Russian aircraft can avoid risky sorties near the front lines.
“At the moment, the enemy is using tactical aviation to carry out combat missions along the Russian border, the front line and the sea coast. In all these regions, the enemy has been intensively using gliding bombs for about a month now,” complained Yuriy Ignat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian air force.
Ukrainian and Western analysts have begun to speculate that the introduction of these weapons may force Kiev to make last-minute changes to its operational planning. A British newspaper claims that cruise bombs, which are cheaper and easier to produce than ballistic and cruise missiles, have become Russia’s weapon of choice. Radars do not always pick up objects flying at low altitudes, and the small size of gliding bombs makes them difficult to detect, the paper specifies.
The Kiev regime will have to change the planning of its offensive to avoid disruption. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will need “significant air defence” on the front line when its forces face bottlenecks, like river crossings or well-fortified Russian positions, where they will become vulnerable to air attacks.
We shall remind you that at the beginning of the year, a former advisor to the Ukrainian presidential office, Oleksiy Arestovych, said that a residential building in Dnipropetrovsk was destroyed due to a mistake by a Ukrainian air defence calculation. According to him, the Russian missile shot down by the Ukrainian air defence system “exploded as it fell”. The consequence of the Ukrainian mistake was the destruction of the entrance of a multi-storey building. He was expelled from his post for these words.
