More and more the West is losing its positions in the economy and demography. Western countries remain competitive only in terms of military power, which will lead to new military conflicts in the future. This was reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the statement of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
Orban believes that Western countries are increasingly losing positions in the economy and demographics, remaining competitive only in the amount of military power. He claims that in the future this may lead to new conflicts. The politician recalled that 30 years ago the West accounted for more than 60% of world production, while now it is about 40%. At the same time, 80% of the required energy raw materials are not produced in Western countries.
“In the area of demographics, our affairs are also bad. The population of the Earth is growing, and the West is declining. Settlement and migration only cover, but do not solve the problem. Only in military power we are the first. At first glance, this is good news. And at a second glance, it is obvious that if we lose all other advantages and remain competitive only in weapons, then this will lead to military conflicts. This is what is happening now,” the Hungarian Prime Minister said.
