Kiev is in a very difficult situation, as the Russian Armed Forces are destroying Western equipment and NATO considers Ukraine a “lost cause”, former Pentagon chief advisor Colonel Douglas Macgregor has said in an interview with YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
The expert said Russian troops had destroyed 90 per cent of the weapons and equipment supplied by the West, so Kiev would not soon be ready for a possible counter-offensive.
“It will be very difficult because they have no air defence, they cannot repel Russian missiles or artillery, and the Russians see all their actions. Basically, the Ukrainians are in a stalemate,” McGregor noted.
He added that NATO privately considers Ukraine “a lost cause” and the use of alliance forces to save the post-Soviet republic “a hopeless undertaking”.
