Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said he had visited Artemovsk (Ukrainian name: Bakhmut), the city is damaged, but it can be restored.

“On the instructions of Russian President [Vladimir Putin], I visited new regions, inspected facilities, and held meetings on regional programmes for socio-economic development. I also visited Artemivsk. The city is damaged, but it can be restored. We have this experience. As soon as the operational situation allows, we will go in and work step by step, “- he wrote on Friday in TG-channel.

The Deputy Prime Minister also published a video from the city centre showing the damaged buildings.

“Just like in Mariupol, the central part is in the same condition.” – he commented.

Artemivsk is located in the Kiev-controlled part of the DPR. It is an important transport hub for supplying Ukrainian troops in Donbas. Fierce fighting has been taking place over the city for over six months.
