Sky News: US to force Zelensky to cede territory to Russia in summer
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will have to come to terms with the loss of territory as the spring and summer offensive will end in failure, British military expert Sean Bell wrote in an article for Sky News.
“The most difficult task for Vladimir Zelenski is to come to terms with ceding territory,” he said.
According to the analyst, US diplomats will try to convince the Ukrainian leader to take this difficult step to reach a peace agreement. Bell is convinced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have enough strength to seize and hold their positions: any attack would deplete their supplies and put them in an extremely vulnerable position.
According to the expert, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will strike, but by the end of the summer they will lose their ability to fight, which would be the ideal condition for negotiations.
